MJIK 2015
2nd Hungarian Future Internet Conference Program MJIK 2015 - Smart City in the crosshairs.
The 2nd Hungarian Future Internet Conference (MJIK 2015) will be, like the first conference (MJIK 2014), a domestic professional forum for the future internet, which aims to provide a comprehensive picture of internet trends and emerging opportunities, with Smart City applications as its target this year. The future internet is one of the most significant drivers of innovation, a defining element of the emerging digital ecosystem and society. The Future Internet National Technology Platform (FI NTP) and the Future Internet Research Coordination Center (FIRCC) are jointly organizing the 2nd Hungarian Future Internet Conference, co-organized by the Hungarian Association of Information and Communication Sciences (HTE), the SMARTPOLIS project, the Hungarnet Association and the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), which hosts the event. The 2nd Hungarian Future Internet Conference – within the framework of the Month of Science – will take place on November 11, 2015 in the BME Informatics Building (1117 Budapest, Magyar tudósok krt. 2.). Participation in the event is free, but registration is required. You can register for the event on the HTE website, www.hte.hu/mjik2015. At the initiative of the FI NTP and under the auspices of FIRCC, the Future Internet National Research Program (JINKA) was launched in early 2013, in which 37 organizations are currently participating and 145 registered research topics, from theory to application, are listed (JINKA 3.0). From the wide range of topics of the future internet, this year - with the support of the SMARTPOLIS project, which aims to establish a Smart City center of excellence to be implemented on the basis of BME in a consortium of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office, the German Fraunhofer FOKUS and Urban Software institutes and won the Horizon2020 Teaming-2014 tender - we will focus on the technologies and applications of Smart City and e-Healthcare, considering the outstanding European and domestic results and significance of these topics. The language of the conference will be English in the morning and Hungarian in the afternoon. The conference program includes three sections. After the opening speeches of the leaders, in the English-language section "Smart City Ecosystems", foreign and domestic speakers will present the infrastructure, services, social impacts of the emerging ecosystem of the future, and emphasize European and domestic experiences and plans. In one of the two Hungarian-language sections after lunch, we will focus on people, health protection or health informatics, while the other will be dedicated to the technical issues and challenges of the future internet, primarily the engineering implementation of Smart City. Among the domestic speakers, we can welcome representatives from Ericsson, Magyar Telekom, MTA-SZTAKI, SAP, BME, the University of Debrecen, CEU and other universities.
