He graduated from the Karl Marx University of Economics, Department of Industry. He then took further training as a computer economist, and in 1977 he received his doctorate in computer science. Later, he qualified as a tax consultant, and in 1995 completed an audit course.

From September 1969, he was a system planner at the Hungarian Chemical Industry Association Engineering Office (MAVEMI), then at the Chemical Industry Computer Association (VSZFT). From 1982, he headed the system development department of MVMT, and in 1992, together with Béla Pompéry, he founded PBMK KFT, which carries out auditing activities.

From 1983 to 2002, he was the main organizer of the Gyula Academy of Organizational Computing and an active member of the Gyula Circle.

He is currently a tax expert and certified public accountant. He is a member of the Audit Committee of the Hungarian National Audit Office.
