| Neumann Prize | Since 1976, the Society has annually awarded a medal bearing the portrait of the Society's namesake to recognize the activities of those who have achieved significant results in the development of computer culture or in the field of work done in the interests of the Society. |

| Kalmár Award | Since 1979, the Kalmár Prize has been awarded to those who have made significant contributions to computer science, and outstanding results achieved in the fields of computer science and applications. The Society named the award after László Kalmár, professor at the University of Szeged and the founder of Hungarian cybernetics. |

| Tarján Memorial Medal | Since 1987, the Society has awarded the Tarján Prize to those who have shown outstanding achievement in the education and popularization of computer science. Rezső Tarján is the first president of the Society and was one of the early Hungarian innovators of computer science. Recognizing the importance of cybernetics, he worked to introduce it to the Hungarian public. | ![]() | ||

| János Kemény Award | Since 2001, the János Kemény Award has been awarded to young people under the age of 35 who have achieved outstanding results based on their professional creative and publication activities. János Kemény, as a professor at Dartmouth College (USA), was one of the developers of the BASIC language and a pioneer of time-sharing systems. | ![]() | ||

| Neumann plaque | Since 1985, the Society has awarded the Neumann plaque and diploma to those distinguished IT professionals living abroad who have significantly contributed to the development of Hungarian IT and its recognition abroad. | ![]() | ||

| Kempelen Wolf Award | An award jointly awarded by the Hungarian Society for Communications and Informatics, the John von Neumann Computer Science Society and the Hungarian Society for Optics, Acoustics and Film Technology in recognition of outstanding professional achievements in the field of machine speech processing between 1991 and 2009. Farkas Kempelen was the inventor of the famous chess machine and the first talking machine. | ![]() | ||

| Attila Kovács Award | Since 2008, the John Neumann Computer Science Society (NJSZT), the Association of Informatics, Telecommunications and Electronics Enterprises (IVSZ) and the Informatics for Society Association (Infotér) have jointly announced the "Informatics Journalist of the Year" award annually, which is named after the outstanding computer science journalist Attila Kovács, who passed away in 2010. | ![]() | ||
