UniOffice System House
1016 Budapest Berényi Street 9/b.
UniOffice Rendszerház is a consulting, organizing and software development company in the field of electronic business. Our mission is to develop the flow of information within a company and organization, as well as to support the electronic exchange of information with the outside world. In short, this is called e-business, in other words electronic business.
The choice of our name also reflects our approach: we deal with office systems... “Office systems” include, among other things, IT systems, documents, knowledge, operating rules, company culture, interests, work processes, but above all, the person who sometimes struggles with and sometimes triumphs over the problems to be solved with the tools of modern technology. Our job is to help people: managers, employees, IT specialists alike, to make this rather complex system work well. The most typical malfunction of office systems is the lack, interruption or slowness of information flow. The old recipe for this problem was to increase the number of meetings and further multiply copies of paper-based documents. However, this is very expensive, time-consuming and, moreover, inefficient. Our products are software products that enable the flow of information and accelerate it to an extraordinary extent. Consulting and organization help in the planning, implementation and operation of solutions.
As a result of our work, documents become accessible, meaning there is no need to search, and authorized persons can access the documents necessary for their work anytime, anywhere.
As a result of our work, workflows and IT systems are aligned: our systems adapt to the individual states of workflows and enable the tracking and management of processes.
As a result of our work, the resulting systems provide users with a high level of security against unauthorized access, malfunctions, or other undesirable effects.
The systems we develop are typically based on IBM software products. Among these, the Lotus Notes/Domino software family stands out, in which UniOffice Rendszerház is the only company in Hungary with over 23 years of experience.

Outstanding activities of the institution
- Office Case Management: The Office Case Management System is a common workspace, memory and communication platform for managers and administrators of any company, organization or institution. The first version of the system was released in 1993. With its creation, UniOffice Rendzerzőház created a new genre, as similar systems were not available before. As a service provided by the system, users of the Office system have a partial or even complete overview of the status of ongoing cases, depending on access rights. The system is capable of handling the entire company's mail flow (both paper, fax and e-mail), allows the issuance and delegation of tasks, and also serves as an archive for the storage and access of closed documents. The Office Case Management System is – from a technical perspective – an integrated office automation software package that can support all functions occurring in office administration work in an integrated and efficient manner. This system enables the management of work processes in addition to unified document and record management and filing, and tracks the content and status of various cases and tasks. It simplifies communication with the outside world, and it can also be used to easily organize internal cooperation between individuals and organizational units. Overall, it can be said that the application of the Office Case Management System represents a complete solution for both company operations and office organization and automation.
- Office GOV case management : Our certified document management software, the Office GOV Case Management System, is a further development of our Office Case Management System. It is based on its predecessor in its basic functions, but by adapting them, the new system meets the legal requirements for document management software applicable to public bodies. The unique product in the domestic IT market makes the most of the benefits of electronic document management in everyday use during actual application. General computer user skills are sufficient for its management, yet it enables effective management overviews, simple and fast administrative data recording and work, secure storage of data, and quick retrieval. By automating more frequent steps, using templates, and other convenient functions, we have made practical work not only simple, but also efficient and ergonomic. UniOffice System House's one and a half decades of IT and document management experience, strict compliance with legal regulations, and the free parameterization of the system have resulted in a system that meets professional requirements, yet is flexible. This is combined with one of the most successful infrastructures in the IT industry – used by more than one hundred and twenty million users worldwide – which guarantees simple, fast, secure and reliable operation: due to its structure, IBM Notes/Domino is specifically suitable for running document management systems, which already carries the possibility of successful implementation. In the Office GOV Case Management System, we can store electronic documents on their own, but of course also electronic documents and their paper-based version images so that the system organizes and manages them together. We can track the fate of documents from the beginning to document storage and eventual disposal. During the life cycle of documents and groups of documents (files), the administrative steps related to them, i.e. the entire workflow, are also fully supported and irrevocably logged by the system. The central element of the workflows is the clear identification of documents, which is supported by the filing and receipt functions with numerous setting options; such as collective number-subnumber filing and the parallel use of multiple file books. Authorizations related to document management, administration, receipt-filing, document storage and other functions can be assigned to users in a sophisticated system. The software also includes the public administration portal module (Customer Gateway and Office Gateway), thus the product meets the requirements in an expanded manner. Overall, it can be said that the Office GOV Case Management System offers much more than its competitors, and its functionality far exceeds the requirements set out in the legislation, as it can be applied not only to the tasks set out in the recommendations.
- ISOWeb: The ISOWeb system is a modular application package developed according to the quality and environmental management requirements of the ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 standard series. The ISOWeb system is the new WEB version of the successfully proven ISOffice. Its functionality is the same as the ISOffice system, but does not include customization options. It is recommended for use where users want to access the functions with a web browser.
- RobotAdmin: Based on its decades of system administration experience, UniOffice Rendszerház has developed the RobotAdmin software, which aims to manage the Lotus Notes/Domino environment, the applications running in this environment, and the information found in the applications. It automates the monotonous system administration and data management activities of the applications, making them simpler and more secure. RobotAdmin offers a solution that allows us to detect deviations and errors from the settings required for optimal operation (access, size limit monitoring, etc.). With automatic, parameterizable logging of errors and deviations, we can conveniently perform administrative tasks from a single, central location, either with timed queries or by manual start, saving time for other, creative activities.
In the 1990s, its name was: Unioffice Computer Trading and Service Ltd.
András Kolesár (founder of the company): My long-standing plan was to create an organizing and development company that could provide an electronic tool system for office work division and managerial work.
This plan was inspired by several sources. One source is that I experienced how a company's internal communication and shared knowledge deteriorates as it grows. The other is that as a manager I always felt the need for IT support that, among other things, helps to review ongoing matters, delegate tasks, and manage documents together. In short, I was looking for software that, by building on the network infrastructure, goes beyond the standard of file sharing services provided by computer networks and instead enables the sharing and common use of information.
Esther Dyson introduced me to the concept of "groupware" and opened up the information sources that led me to choose Lotus Notes.
To create the financial foundations of the company, it was necessary to have the investor's willingness of Doctor József (then the owner of Unitrade Ltd.). We established the company as a joint property with him and we were together as co-owners in the company until 1996.
We launched a business, which was more of a mission than a business, out of private capital and private enthusiasm, in the somewhat chaotic economic conditions following the regime change. The idea of Lotus Notes actually became well-known years later, with the advent of the Internet, as the goals of the two systems are very close to each other.
The company is now almost twenty years old, which proves the correctness of the decisions made at that time.
We appeared with our products and services in the Prime Minister's Office as early as 1992 (following government decisions), and then the automation of the EXPO Office marked our ambition. We started building systems based on Lotus Notes at the National Water Directorate - our largest client - in 1993. Numerous banks, insurance companies, and state administration organizations have had and continue to have a need for our work, which proves the soundness of our enterprise.
