In 1962, in Esztergom-Kenyérmező - on the well-equipped base of the Hell József Károly Mining Engineering Technical School - he established the Higher Chemical Engineering Technical School - later a college - which provided specialist training for the chemical and mining branches of heavy industry.
On October 1, 1972, the Ministry of Heavy Industry established its Further Training Center (NIM TK) on the basis of the technical college.
In 1982, it was reorganized into the Industrial Management Training Institute.
In the year before the change of regime, direct state supervision was terminated, and the institute was transformed into an independent company under the name OKTÁV Industrial Further Education Company.
Privatization and the change of regime led to another transformation, as a result of which it operates as a joint-stock company under the name OKTÁV Further Education Center Zrt.
A significant part of the staff was taken over from the teaching and administrative staff of the defunct college.
