Microsystem launched the CompuServe Hungary service on July 1, 1993, allowing domestic computer owners who are not connected to the X. 25 network but would like to enjoy the services of mainframe networks to connect to the world's largest personal computer networks through the CompuServe service.
The company created the Hungarian version of the WordStar word processing program.
The company – founded in 1983 by the decision and formation of the members of a software development team that had previously operated independently from each other at 4 different workplaces – was founded with 15 people and a starting capital of approx. 150,000 HUF. It increased its turnover and assets two hundredfold in 5 years. Microsystem later became a joint-stock company and grew into one of the largest privately owned Hungarian companies. However, after the change of regime, it could not compete with the large-capital foreign companies that entered the market and ceased to exist.
The company was featured in the Hungarian Film News in 1988 as a business that was able to be successful even in difficult economic circumstances.
