The company became a joint-stock company in 1937, and then in the 1940s it made significant profits and exported its products in significant quantities.
After nationalization, it grew into a truly large company in the 1960s and 1970s, its products were also known abroad (not only in the CEEC countries), and the company had its own resort, sports field, event hall, library, and even a kindergarten.
In its heyday, the company employed around 1,500 people, but the recession of the 1980s did not spare the company, which split into more than half a dozen smaller limited companies. During the privatization period after the change of regime, the parent company's assets were sold off, and thus one of its successor companies was established: Micra-Metripond with 15 employees and a share capital of 12 million forints.

Metripond's successor companies manufacture scales and cash registers.
