LIBRA took over the distribution and after-sales service of integrated business management and administration software from the parent company, which is used in a wide variety of environments and in all areas of the economy, from small businesses with a few employees to large companies employing thousands of people, in the non-profit sector and in education.

Libra Software Zrt. was established in 2006 as a subsidiary of Volán Elektronika Zrt.

Volán Elektronika has been present in the domestic computer technology sector since 1959 through its legal predecessors, and has been developing and supporting LIBRA's business and corporate management solutions for 21 years. The owners believed that a company that deals exclusively with LIBRA — and since the fall of 2004, SAP Business One — systems could be even more successful by having its managers and experts devote their full attention to the development and support of the software.

In this spirit, on January 5th, LIBRA Software Co., Ltd. was established as a majority-owned subsidiary of Volán Elektronika, which will deal with the development and support of LIBRA programs in the future. In 2006, the company employed 25 developers and 25 consultants under the direction of 3 managers. LIBRA Software plans to generate a profit of 64.4 million forints with a sales revenue of 783 million forints for 2006.

Libra Software Co., Ltd. was founded in 2006, taking over the distribution and after-sales service of Libra software from Volán Elektronika Co., Ltd. Volán Elektronika was established in 1959 and has been developing, implementing and supporting integrated business systems since 1984. Its self-developed solution LIBRA looks back on 20 years of professional experience. Based on the changed market needs, the company began developing the LIBRA Integrated Business System based on the Oracle database manager in 1993. The LIBRA4GA and later the further developed LIBRA6i integrated solutions are designed for medium and large companies. In 2004, 45 years after its establishment, Volán Elektronika reached another milestone in its history: it introduced the LIBRA3S solution for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Market position In terms of its market position, LIBRA Software Zrt., with a 9.3% share, is today the most significant domestic solution provider in the enterprise management systems market and is only surpassed by SAP Hungary in terms of overall market share.

References Over the past 20 years, nearly 50,000 users from more than 2,500 companies have used Volán Elektronika Rt. solutions. Today, we still serve more than 1,000 small and medium-sized business customers, and almost 150 large companies use our solutions. Since January 2005, we have installed the LIBRA3S solution with more than 300 users.
