IT Services Hungary, a member of the “T” group, has been present in Hungary since 2006, as a so-called “Shared Service Center” (hereinafter referred to as SSC). Since 2012, it has been one of the largest ICT employers in Hungary and Pécs, with more than 4,000 people nationwide.

The introduction of the Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions brand clearly demonstrates the commitment of domestic companies to the shared values of the Deutsche Telekom Group, customer focus, teamwork and passion for new technologies.

Then from 2020: IT Services Hungary (ITSH) will change its name and transform itself, in line with the process during which the parent company Deutsche Telekom AG (DTAG) is restructuring its international business-to-business (b2b) organization. Deutsche Telekom IT and Telecommunications Hungary Kft. will be created from the domestic company by way of a spin-off on July 1, 2020, and IT Services Hungary Kft. will subsequently be renamed Deutsche Telekom Systems Solutions Hungary Kft. with effect from October 1, 2020. The new brand name will be given to the two companies together: they will be present on the labor market jointly under the name Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions.

How and why Pécs became the flagship of ITSH after 2012 (Zalay Buda):

"As a SSC, the most important aspect for us in the "Shared Service Center" industry is language and IT skills. Pécs is definitely outstanding in this respect, as there is a large German community in the region, and high-quality and diverse language training is provided at various faculties of the university, and IT skills of varying depth are taught at 3 faculties. These trainings produce a workforce that is perfectly suitable for ITSH and can be further trained internally.

The city administration was extremely cooperative even during the first negotiations, helping with the selection of suitable real estate, recruiting staff, and establishing contact with the city's high schools. ITSH considers it important that young people and their parents can find out about career alternatives as soon as possible, including the local opportunities offered by SSC. Therefore, we are in close contact with those local high schools that offer high-quality German language and nationality training, and we continuously inform parents and children about the opportunities in these institutions.

For ITSH, the presence of the aforementioned foreign-language communities, which are very typical not only of Pécs but also of its 100 km radius, was also an important decision-making factor. The language skills of their employees coming from here are very high, and their IT training can be provided within the organization. In terms of training, the Chamber is also an important cooperating partner of the company, supporting their efforts in dual training, and also played an important role in building relationships in Osijek.

The proximity of Osijek is important for ITSH in terms of workforce supply, as it has very similar characteristics to Pécs, and is within the 100 km radius that is still within an acceptable distance from an employee perspective. We currently have Croatian employees, and if necessary for a larger development, we plan to recruit additional employees.

They have 5 different collaborations with the University of Pécs, all of which point towards further development. In their “Train IT” program, university lecturers teach students the curriculum prepared by ITSH for 3-4 weeks, after which, after 2-3 weeks of internal training, the student who performs well can get a job opportunity.

In another program, ITSH experts hold professional knowledge classes within the framework of university education, in which they arouse students' interest and enrich their knowledge with useful elements.

In their third collaboration, ITSH offers a guaranteed job interview to university students with an IT degree who enroll in and successfully complete one of their SAP, JAVA, or Test Academy courses.

In addition to these established collaborations, we have begun exploring the opportunities offered within the framework of dual training, in which we currently employ 4 students. In addition, according to our plans, the “ITSH Department” will start working at the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics from January 2016, which will offer courses that can be completed for credit points during the undergraduate program.”
