1996. The College became the property of Dunaholding and moved its headquarters to Tárogató Street.
1997. Following successful institutional accreditation, IB-BS became a state-recognized private college, and was also authorized to issue Hungarian college (now Bachelor's) degrees in addition to English diplomas.
2011. IBS International Business School founded its Vienna Campus.
2014. The College moved to its new Budapest campus, Graphisoft Park.
In 2015, the General College of Entrepreneurship merged with IBS: new Hungarian bachelor's and master's degree programs were announced.
The idea came from Győző Kovács. The founding of the school was directed by Sára Zárda. IBS-B is the country's first higher education institution specializing in business training, where students can obtain an internationally (and thus also in Hungary) accepted (English) degree by studying in English, from the Oxford Polytechnic School of Business. Its task is to train professionals with capital market knowledge, with significant computer and language skills, for Hungary, which joined the blood circulation of the capital market after the change of regime. The College started with 100 people in the first year.
The foundation was signed by Számalk with the countersignature of Miklós Havass.
