GYUBER Ignition Equipment Small-scale Production Cooperative
Research and development of analog and digital computers began (their applications: torque balances, control of oil wells, projectile generators, and "minicomputers" that calculated the speed of bearing-mounted shafts).
GYUBER Co. Ltd. specialized in the development of analog and digital calculators. The Special Electric Ignition Devices Small Industry Cooperative, originally organized to develop mining explosive devices, recognized the growing demand for computers and organized a separate group to develop these devices. GYUBER offered analog computers for solving various tasks, so its devices were suitable for creating torque balances, calculating the rods of rocker oil wells, calculating ignition settings, as ballistic projectile generators, and determining the critical speed of a shaft with bearings at several points. The design and experimental program in most cases meant the development of devices suitable for solving differential equations.
