In parallel with the two major international map providers at the time, GeoX prepared a digital map based on the DTA-50 and MKH databases through on-site surveys, which allowed customers to geocode their available addresses and place them in space.

This base map, as well as the public space and address databases derived from it, are being developed continuously, with the largest users being the finance and insurance sector, state administration and law enforcement agencies.

Building on the existing spatial foundation, the construction of a detailed geodemographic database began, covering the country with a 100*100 meter grid and describing the characteristics of the people living there, the environment and its use in each cell using nearly a hundred variables.

In the 2010s, based on the previously established navigation database, he began developing route planning and optimization services and navigation applications running on mobile devices within the framework of AntaresNav Kft., which he partly owns.

Since the second half of the 2010s, in collaboration with other market players, it has participated in building artificial intelligence models based on spatial data, the aim of which is to select the best locations for expanding an existing store network.

In the 2020s, GeoX Kft. has been looking for new data sources, incorporating mobile device motion data and information extracted from satellite imagery into the 100*100 database, and has begun expanding the database to neighboring countries. In addition to producing spatial data, GeoX Kft. has developed numerous applications for the domestic telecommunications, finance/insurance, and law enforcement sectors.

The company is currently developing a geospatial application for a supplier that provides secure communication solutions on a global scale.

GeoX Ltd. participated in five major international R&D projects and collaborated with universities and research institutes in ten countries. They started developing digital maps of Hungary, which have since been used by Google, TomTom, and Mapbox. Their initial focus quickly expanded to include navigation products, data mining and geodatabase management services, and complex custom software developments.

    Interesting facts

In accordance with the objective, a spatial basis, a digital street map on which addresses could be geocoded, was needed for its implementation, and a project was launched for this purpose.
