    The company was a leading participant in the local government market in the 90s. It was the supplier of more than 20 settlements and several districts of Budapest. In the OMFB tender, they won the GIS developments of, among others, Győr, Pécs, Szeged, Hódmezővásárhely. They were also strong in the gas sector at TIGÁZ, ÉGÁZ, but they were also present at ÉVIZIG, ÉDUVIZIG.

    In 1996, the Archaeological Information System was created for the Hungarian National Museum.

    For its application developments, it used its own GreenLine product line (developed by István Nikl). A later version of this was GreenLine Kolibri.

    Interesting facts

    At the EGIS'93 conference held in Genoa in 1993, Geoview's poster won second prize. The poster presented the theoretical structure of the utility registration system prepared for TIGÁZ. Geoview was invited to the European software pavilion of the Hannover computer exhibition with Greenline 4.0. In 1994, they opened their German office in Berlin. According to statistics measured in the mid-1990s, their activities covered about eight percent of the Hungarian GIS market. In 1999, István Nikl left Geoview and founded a new company called InterMap. During the division, GreenLine remained in the ownership of Geoview, while Kolibri and its development environment became a product of InterMap Kft.
