Reason for merger
Since 2007, the production area has not been sufficient for the planned development, so the company rented areas at the Respirátor Zrt site, while at the same time the two companies, although operating as independent organizations, were under the management of a common CEO. After the crisis, the owners of Gamma Zrt decided, taking into account economies of scale, to initiate acquisitions in areas related to the profile, either directly or through the companies they owned. After the merger, Gamma Zrt became one of the largest defense industry manufacturers in the country.
During its existence, it became one of the leading nuclear measurement equipment manufacturers in the Eastern European region. Many young and experienced engineers (Károly Drégely, Arthur László, István Szabó, János Barabás and colleagues) participated in the developments and enriched the Hungarian engineering culture with numerous patents.
