Digital Hungary
The most important goal of Digital was always to develop technology and technique. They did not deal with marketing and economics, and this was their fate. Digital was able to bring computers closer to people, which was a huge deal at the time. Digital Hungary had a commercial function, but not a manufacturing function.

Under the leadership of Ken Olsen, Digital grew into a huge company in the 1980s. It was the second largest company in the IT market behind IBM.
Buyout of Hungarian partners (KFKI, Számalk) 1991.04.01. thus 100% DEC
Then in 1998, Compaq acquired DIGITAL.

The new Compaq is created, becoming a Top 3 IT company in the world and an immediate candidate for market leadership in Hungary, 1+1> 2
The location of the Digital USA headquarters was a mill. (textile mill)
Digital was called DE C by everyone except the Digitalosok. Olsen's wife was of Danish descent and DEC means swearing in Danish.
Before the Hungarian Digital, the MTA KFKI MSZKI adapted the computers of the PDP family, which in Hungary were called TPA (stored program analyzer).
TPA 8= pdp8 were equivalent to TPA11 = pdp11 machines.
Digital, led by Ken Olsen, had a light blue logo, but after he was fired, he signaled this renewal with a new logo, which became red.
