The first ALBACOMP personal computer was launched in 1986.

ALBACOMP was founded in 1985 under the name of Cooperative ALBACOMP, and in 1993 it was transformed into a joint-stock company. In 1995, SZÜV Rt. was added to the group of companies.

ALBACOMP is one of the oldest companies in the Hungarian personal computer IT market. The first Albacomp personal computer was launched in 1986.

In 2000, sales revenue exceeded 10 billion forints.

The economic downturn (from 2008) also affected ALBACOMP, and the company was reorganized.

Starting in 1992, they sponsored the basketball team Albacomp, formerly known as the Székesfehérvár Építők, for several years (until 2012).
