2018: The Informatics History Forum (iTF) had an exceptionally successful year, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the launch of the Unified Computer System (UCS) at Óbuda University – it even held an “afterparty” on the topic, as well as the IT work of the Hungarian National Bank and the computer processing of speech, and the life of János Neumann based on the book by István Wisinger and the film by Gábor Dénes. It held an exciting conference in front of around 150 interested people on the first quarter century of Ericsson Hungary at the company’s headquarters. The operation of the Budapest IT Evolution exhibition based on the collection of László Kutor and the professional relationship with the NJSZT Informatics History Exhibition are ongoing. The Informatics History Database has also been continuously growing, and the 50 years of NJSZT were presented in a picture book and with a rich database in the anniversary year. It is expected that the conferences presenting large domestic workshops will continue this year as well.
