People section
In this column, we commemorate the professionals who have made notable achievements in the history of Hungarian IT, the pioneers of our profession, and those who participated in the development, education, dissemination, and application of IT. Quite a few of them have also written their names in the history of natural, technical, or other sciences. There are many who – although they were part of Hungarian IT life – now live only in the memory of friends and colleagues, but preserving their legacy is also an important duty of ours.
You can search among all people using Quick Search.
The "Those Who Are No Longer Among Us" pages present the lives of those who have passed away, while the "Who’s Who" section features the careers of living colleagues. Both subsections include biographical data, writings, related documents, and photographs for each individual.
The Photo Gallery displays each person’s photo in alphabetical order. Hovering over a photo reveals the person’s name; clicking it opens their profile page.
The editorial team—volunteers—worked with external helpers whenever possible. Those featured in the "Who’s Who" subsection provided information about themselves either upon our request or by volunteering.
The "Video Portraits" produced by the iTF present the life stories of some of the field’s most outstanding personalities over the age of 70.
If you can help expand our collection, clarify your own or others’ data, or contribute additional interesting facts, descriptions, or information, please use the data form accessible via the "Send Message" button in the sidebar. We thank you in advance for every submission.
