István Bela Vaskovi
He graduated with honors from Kharkov with a degree in automation and telemechanics. After graduating from the university, he was employed as an academic scholarship intern at the Automation Research Institute (AKI).
Between 1975 and 1978, he worked at the Institute of Control Problems (IPU) of the Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Union (ASSU) in Moscow, where he defended his candidate's thesis in 1978 (on the topic of computer-aided design and optimal control of material separation processes).
From 1978, he worked as a senior research fellow at the Computer Science and Automation Research Institute (SZTAKI) until 1995. In the meantime, he was awarded an honorary doctorate at the Budapest University of Technology (BME) in 1980. Major tasks in which he participated during this period include: the development, commissioning and operational support of the national telemechanical system for natural gas transportation of MOL (Hungarian Oil and Gas Company); system development and commissioning at DÉMÁSZ (Southern Hungarian Power Supply Company); development, commissioning and operational support of the system control center of the Paks nuclear power plant; further development of the OTR (National Telemechanical System) of MOL FGSZ (Natural Gas Transport Company).
From 1995, he was one of the managers of X_PROMPT Automatizálási Kft. until his retirement (2015).
