  • From 1969, he was a department head at the Data Processing Department of the Hungarian National Bank (MNB); his task was to manage the programming activities of the MNB's planned national (central) electronic data processing system. Under his leadership, the processing system consisting of several hundred programs was built: foreign exchange and domestic account management, general ledger account management, closing processing, and the statistics and balance sheets based on these. As the first stage of the computer system of the rural network, he managed the development and introduction of the so-called OSZIKA (Olivetti Simulation Subsystem) system at the county directorates. Under his leadership, the MNB introduced a person-independent programming practice, the use of the program library, and a system of tables and subroutines.

    From 1988, he worked as a department manager and project manager at the Commercial and Credit Bank (K&H) in developing the Bank's independent computer processing. While the MNB performed the computer processing for the new commercial banks, his task was to maintain contact with the MNB and other banks, and then he managed the installation of the MNB processing system in K&H. He played the role of a computer expert in the banking team planning bank mergers and consolidations (e.g. K&H and IBUSZ BANK).

    From the launch of the GIRO electronic interbank settlement system until his retirement, he was the representative of K&H bank at GIRO professional meetings, managing the creation of GIRO-related processing within the bank. He played an important role in the migration work of the bank's discontinued and newly launched account management systems.

    He completed several programming and organization courses organized by the Central Statistical Office and Számalk. He taught COBOL programming at Számalk for years.
