  • In 1951, he joined the Telecommunications Research Institute (TKI), which was then established. These years marked the beginning of the era of television in Hungary. Uzsoky designed the microwave unit of the first 1 KW transmitter developed at the Beloiannisz Radio and Television Factory (BHG) as an external expert. Later, until 1957, he worked at the KFKI as a colleague of Károly Simonyi; they produced several joint publications on the topic of fusion reactors.

    In 1957, he became head of the Microwave Development Department at BHG; he played a major role in the development of the PM-28 pulse-position modulation device.

    Later, as a deputy department head at VEIKI, he designed power plant control equipment and worked on voice transmission over high-voltage transmission lines.

    From 1964 he was a research associate at the Automation Research Institute (AKI), the predecessor of the Computer Science and Automation Research Institute (SZTAKI) of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. In 1965 he organized the Digital Department, which he led until 1974.

    His research areas include automation, digital equipment design and manufacturing, and the research, development and manufacturing of data transmission equipment and other computer network devices necessary for the communication of computers and terminals, a form of telecommunications technology that was emerging at the time.

    His mathematical, physical and engineering knowledge and creative imagination were extraordinary. He retired in 1985.

    Honors: Academic Award (MTA, 1961); State Award (1975). He received the State Award for the development of computer-aided design and development technology in the electronics industry.
