Arpad Toth
He began his academic career in 2008 at Széchenyi István University, where he currently works as an associate professor and economic manager. In the latter position, his responsibilities include the computerization of university processes.
He previously gained experience in audit, compliance and corporate governance at international companies (Ernst & Young, KPMG, Johnson Controls). He is a qualified accountant and tax advisor with ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification.
His research focuses on the development of flow reconstruction procedures and systems based on large data sets, the construction of knowledge network algorithms, the connection of sustainability processes with quantitative assessment, the application of artificial intelligence to financial systems. He is the author of several scientific publications and book chapters, and regularly gives lectures at international conferences. During his educational activities, he teaches at undergraduate and master's programs, and mentors students (TDK, theses, doctoral research). He takes an active role in interdisciplinary projects.
In 2024, the NJSZT (Neumann János Computer Science Society) awarded him the Kalmár Prize.
