    After graduating from the Puskás Tivadar Telecommunications Technical School in 1958, he worked at Antenna Hungária Zrt. and its predecessors until 2008 (at the Budapest TV broadcasting station until 1967). In addition to his work, he studied at an evening university.

    As a senior manager, he managed the developments and investments in the broadcasting and wireless telecommunications sector (during this period, the high-performance medium-wave broadcasting stations (Solt, Marcali), the national FM (frequency modulated) broadcasting network, and the first and second television broadcasting networks were built; at this time, the national microwave distribution network was installed).
    In 1972, he studied satellite broadcasting in India on a UN scholarship. He expanded his professional and managerial knowledge in the USA (USC 1991), Finland (Ylesradio 1986), and Japan (NEC 1980-1996). His task was to prepare the remote monitoring operation of the broadcasting radio and television transmission networks, which was implemented in 1994 (this also provided the subject of his doctoral dissertation).
    After the establishment of the national networks, he worked in the investment and then commercial areas (his duties included the technical management of the subsidiary portfolio and the preparation of privatization). He was one of the senior managers of the domestic introduction of the Amos satellite system. In 1999, he was assigned to lead the GSM project. From 2004 to 2008, as strategic director, he played an active role in the introduction of digital television in Hungary.
    He retired in 2008 after 50 years of service with one employer.

    Between 2001 and 2010, he was the vice president of the Telecommunications Interest Reconciliation Forum; between 2009 and 2014, he was the president of the Puskás Tivadar Alma Mater Association.
    He has been a member of the Hungarian Broadcasting Association (HTE) since 1985, where he led several departments. In 1998, he was a member of the leadership of the newly formed DVB circle, and in early 2000, he organized the Media Club dealing with broadcast networks, of which he was the president until 2020. In 1998-2001, he was a columnist for the Híradástechnika journal, and between 2002-2005, he was a member of the journal's editorial board.
    He also took an active role in the leadership of the Hungarian Technical University, serving as Deputy Secretary General of the Hungarian Technical University from 2002 to 2008 and as a member of the board from 2008 to 2011.
