  • Electrical Engineer - BME - 1964. (Major in Telecommunications)

  • From 1964 to 1986, he worked on the research and development of digital transmission systems at the Telecommunications Research Institute (TKI). He participated in the development of numerous transmission equipment and computer-controlled measuring machines, and as head of the Code Modulation Systems Department, he also contributed to the development of domestic PCM (Pulse-code modulation) equipment.

    From 1986 to 2006, he taught telecommunications, measurement technology, digital signal processing and speech processing as an honorary associate professor at the Department of Telecommunications and Media Informatics of the Budapest University of Technology (BME). He also headed the Telecommunications Signal Processing Laboratory he established, where he participated in the development of several digital measuring instruments that were successful on the world market.

    During his career, he spent a total of more than two and a half years abroad, participating in university research programs. He conducted research at the University of Tokyo in Japan, Imperial College and UCL in Great Britain, KTH in Sweden, and Karlsruhe University in Germany.

    In 2005, he founded AITIA International Zrt., where he worked actively as a manager until his death. His company cooperates closely with university researchers and has achieved significant results in the telecommunications and IT markets, as well as in domestic and international research projects.

    His most significant awards: Pollák-Virág Award (Hírkommunikation és Informatikai Szédómányos Esztélyület, HTE, 1994, 2001); Innovation Award (Ministry of Transport, Information and Communications and Water Management, KHVM, 1995); Gold Badge (HTE, 1995, 2003); ITEA'96 European Information Technology Award (1996); Texas Instruments DSP Competition European Award (1997); Hungarian Innovation Award (Hungarian Innovation Association, 1996, 1997, 1998); Academic Award (shared, MTA, 1999); Kempelen Farkas Award (HTE, 1996, 2002); László Kozma Memorial Medal (BME, 2006).
