    After graduating from university, he taught at the Faculty of Natural Sciences (TTK) of ELTE. Between 1990 and 1992, he completed his PhD studies at the University of Leeds in England; in 1996, he was appointed as an associate professor.

    From 2003, he was a member of the Notes Committee and then the Laboratory Committee of the Faculty of Informatics (IK) of ELTE, and from 2005, he was responsible for the software technology section. He was the department head of several application projects; he was the department head, later the professional head of several other projects. From 2013, he was a member of the council of the Faculty of Informatics, and from 2015, he was the head of the Department of Programming Theory and Software Technology until his early death.

    Main areas of study: software technology, programming technology, design and analysis theory, object-oriented application development.

    In 2001, he received the ELTE TTK Outstanding Teacher award.
