  • He taught in high school from 1954.
    In 1961, he joined the electronics and nuclear laboratory of the Hungarian Metrology Office.
    He worked at MEDICOR from 1964 to 1991. He managed the large company's very successful Brazilian branch, then returned to the then young but rapidly growing sector - becoming a manager and senior employee of highly complex, complex healthcare systems. He dealt with the development, production and system integration of medical electronic devices. Under his management, several of the company's healthcare electronic measuring systems were manufactured.
    In 1990, he joined the Medical and Hospital Technology Institute (ORKI) as a consultant.

    Between 1977 and 1993, he worked for periods in several developing countries as an independent consultant to the UN as an expert on medical equipment. He also worked as an expert for UNIDO and WHO. He received the title of EUR ING from FEANI in recognition of his professional engineering activities.

    He was passionate about the issue of medical technology education. He initiated the establishment of the Medicor Medical Technology Continuing Education Center and obtained UN support for the implementation of his initiative. Between 1990 and 1994, he facilitated the cooperation of medical technology experts from Eastern and Western Europe. He was the initiator and organizer of the First Medical Physics Education international conference held in Budapest in 1994. He contributed as an expert to the biomedical engineering education launched by BME, SOTE and ÁOTE in 1994.

    He was a founding member and at one time president of the Medical Engineering Department of MATE in 1973. He was a member of the Hungarian Academy of Engineers.
    Between 1985 and 1988, he was President of the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE), an international organization integrating 9 international organizations and approximately 130,000 individual members from 66 countries. Between 1988 and 1991, he was Vice-President of the International Union for Physical and Engineering Sciences in Medicine (IUPESM).

    Awards: Richard Kolos Award; Frigyes Csáki Memorial Medal; Dr. Zoltán Katona Medal. Honorary Life Member of the IFMBE; honorary member of the Biomedical Engineering Section of the Czech Purkinje Scientific Association, and of MEDING. In 2020, on the 40th anniversary of the establishment of IUPESM, he became one of the 58 Fellows of the organization.

    • He is one of the reorganizers of the Hungarian Rotary movement and was president of the Budapest Rotary Club between 1996-97.
    • He was a supporter of the magazine "The World of Nature".
