  • 1959-1963: he was an actuarial mathematician at the General Directorate of the State Insurance Company; his main task was to develop new types of insurance and examine their risks.

    Between 1963 and 1969, he worked as a programming mathematician in the computer center of the Ferrous Metallurgy Directorate of the Hungarian State Iron and Steel Corporation, and then in its legal successor, the electronic computer center of the Hungarian Iron and Steel Industry Association.

    Between 1969 and 1974, he was an economic consultant at the Hungarian Telecommunications Association (MHE), and after the separation of the computing center, at the MHE's Computing and Organization Center, and from 1972, he was the deputy head of the Economics Department.

    From 1974 he was a computer consultant at the Scientific Independent Department of the Computer Center of the Ministry of Finance (PMSZK), from 1980 he was a deputy head of department, and from 1981 he was the head of the Database Organization and Methodology Department of the Financial Computer Institute (PSZTI), the legal successor of the PMSZK. During these years he played a significant role in the development and operation of the Financial Information System (PIR) serving macro-level financial management in the PMSZK/PSZTI. His tasks included participating in and coordinating the institute working groups active in various projects of the State Informatics Development Company (ÁIFT).

    From 1994 he was the deputy head of the IT Development Department of the Hungarian Tax Administration. In 1995-1996 he participated in the work of the Tax Administration Modernization Project. He is the operational head of the IT Project of the new Tax System of 1988.

    Between 1978 and 1988, he regularly lectured at the National Management Training Center (OVK), the PM Further Training Institute, the Ministry of Labor Computer Institute (MÜM SZÁMTI), as well as courses for managers of ministries and nationally competent bodies. He taught as an invited lecturer at the College of Financial Accounting (PSZF). He was a member of the ISO database management systems committee established in 1981.

    He participated in several other research projects, such as the computer-based planning and implementation of health research (cancer research - Uzsoki Street Hospital); the creation of a database of post-infarction patients - Balatonfüred Heart Hospital). At the Department of Agricultural Economics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, he contributed to the development of the analysis methodology of the relationship between company equipment and efficiency.

    He was a speaker at statistical informatics traveling meetings and numerous conferences and events, including the Neumann congresses. He is co-author of the publication “Application of the Database” in the SZÁMKI Methodological Journals, 1981.
