Laszlo Pinter
From 1959 he was the director of the Computer Laboratory of the Central Statistical Office (KSH). Between 1965 and 1974 he worked at the Computer and Administrative Management Company (SZÜV); under his leadership the transition from Hollerith technology to the use of computers began. Meanwhile, in 1970 he defended his doctoral dissertation at the Marx Károly University of Economics (MKKE).
From 1976 he worked at the National Computer Company (OSZV); from 1979 he was deputy director at the Light Industry Organization Institute.
In 1981, the first small computer technology cooperative, Softcoop, began operating under his presidency.
After his retirement, he was the managing director of CPST Hungarian Computer Science Ltd. (a German-Hungarian joint venture) until 1992.
He has conducted extensive college and course teaching activities on computer science, organization and management topics; he has presented at domestic and foreign conferences. He has published 38 papers.
In the 1970s, he received the Bronze Medal of the Order of Merit.

- In his free time, he enjoyed carving wood, painting, and making fire enamel objects.
