Péter Papp

Following his university studies, after a brief stint in the financial sector, he held management positions in several companies in the field of IT.
Between 1996 and 1999, he was the customer relations manager of T-Systems Dataware Kft.; between 2000 and 2001, he was the managing director of Proware Kft.

In 2002, he decided to implement his long-cherished plan and found a platform-, manufacturer- and product-independent company dealing exclusively with information security: this became Kancellár.hu Informatikai Tanácsadó Kft., which later became one of the 50 most dynamically developing technology companies in Central Europe, according to a Deloitte survey conducted in 2008 and 2009.

He found it important to disseminate information security-related knowledge and raise awareness; he has lectured on these topics in many places. He took over and transformed Hacktivity Ltd., creating one of the most prestigious information security conferences in the region. He held the position of honorary associate professor at the National Defense University.

He and his colleagues founded TEDxDanubia Nonprofit Ltd., which for years provided a unique framework for TEDx lectures - reflecting the spirit of the American Technology, Entertainment, Design (TED) conferences - in Hungary.

He is a board member of the Association of Information Technology Enterprises (IVSZ); a board member of the Bolyai Club Foundation, and was a sponsor of the IT security code competition.
