  • After graduating from university, he began his career as a system programmer in the Organization Department of the Tisza Chemical Plant (TVK) as a scholarship holder in 1977. After that, he continuously worked in the computer science/informatics organization of TVK (now MOL Petrolkemia Zrt.) in various positions. Between 1977-1980, he participated in the organization and development of the registration systems implemented on the ESZR R20 computer of the Chemical Industry Computer Science Development Association (VSZFT), and then between 1981-1989 on TVK's own ESZR R22 computer. The VIDEOPLEX 16-workstation data recording system running on the Videoton R10 computer was used to generate the input data.

    Since 1990, the central infrastructure in TVK's own computer center has been IBM's most advanced AS/400 – iSeries – i5 – Power System computers. This infrastructure has ensured the development and operation of modern enterprise management systems for TVK. He has managed many of these developments in various management positions.
    He was a former head of organizational department, division development manager, and then from 2001, head of the TVK Information Services organization, and from 2006 to 2018, he was the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of TVK, a member company of the MOL Group. In this position – between 2006 and 2012 – he was responsible for the development and operation of the central applications of TVK Plc. and Slovnaft Petrochemicals sro – as the Petrochemical segment of the MOL Group.

    His career is tied to one company, but he has performed a wide variety of tasks, held leadership positions and achieved significant results with the organization he managed. This is exemplified by the successful projects of the last two decades: the successful implementation of the review, rethinking and organizational transformation projects of corporate IT processes and activities; the implementation of systems (enterprise management - ERP, CS Controlling, electronic case management - Case Tracking) already used at TVK to support business processes at one of the newly established companies of the MOL Group; coordination of the "Euro Adoption" project at the Slovak company of the MOL Petrochemicals business segment; management of the business intelligence (BI) application implementation project for the MOL Petrochemicals business segment; management of the MOL IT activity outsourcing project on the TVK side.

    In recognition of his professional dedication and committed leadership activities, he received the MOL Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017.

    He has actively participated in the work of the Hungarian Association of Leading IT Professionals (VISZ) since its establishment in 1997. From 2001 to 2014, he represented his company in the organization as the manager responsible for corporate IT.
