János Pánovics
He worked as a computer science fellow, assistant professor, and then assistant professor at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of the University of Debrecen (DE), and later at the Faculty of Informatics of the University of Debrecen (DEIK). He obtained his PhD degree in 2014.
He/She has taught in many areas of IT (basic IT skills, data structures and algorithms, low- and high-level programming languages, database systems, artificial intelligence, network skills).
He is a committed supporter of programming competitions, in which he previously participated and later also participated as an organizer. In addition to DEIK's local competitions, he is one of the organizers of the faculty and national rounds of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest), as well as the ECN international programming competition in Târgu Mureș. Since its inception in 2012, he has been a pillar member of the organizing team of the DEIK Regional Programming Team Competition.
Honors: Certificate of Appreciation from the Rector of the University of Debrecen (2007), Tarján Memorial Medal of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (2020).
