  • applied mathematician - ELTE - 1956.

  • After graduating from university, in 1957 he was employed at the Hungarian Optical Works (MOM) (his tasks included, for example, optimizing optical constructions). After that, at the KGM's Communications Directorate (HIRIG), he dealt with current problems in the industry using mathematical methods (establishing export economy models, preparing industry plans, measuring labor productivity). The computer programs were written for the KGM's Elliott 803 machine. His publications on these topics appeared in the journals Ipargazdasági, Közgazdasági Szemle, and Híradástechnika, and he gave lectures at the Ipargazdasági Conferences.

His next job was at the Hungarian Telecommunications Association (MHE), where he worked as a consultant and then as the head of the organizational department. When the Computer and Organization Center of the Hungarian Telecommunications Association (MHE SZSZK) was established in 1970, his task was to organize and establish the computer center. From April 1971, he was the deputy director of the computer center.

In 1972, he headed the Scientific Independent Department at the Computer Center of the Ministry of Finance (PMSZK) with the rank of department head, and his duties included performing econometrics, software research, and educational and information functions. Between 1981 and 1992, until his retirement, he was the head of the State Finance Organization Department and then the Tax Development Department of the Financial Computing Institute (PSZTI), the legal successor of the PMSZK. He led the organization and development of IT systems, including the Financial Information System (PIR), which serves macro-level state financial management, and the development and operation of the IT system that enabled the introduction of the new tax system in 1988.

As a topic manager, he managed the Institute's participation in the work of the State Administration Informatics Development Company (ÁIFT). (The aim of ÁIFT was to implement data exchange between various institutions of state administration within an orderly framework and to create a common data catalog system.)

From the time he joined the PMSZK/PSZTI in 1972, and during the twenty years he spent there, he was one of the defining figures in the operation of the Institute, a member of the director's closest advisory board.

After his retirement, he performed tasks as an entrepreneur for the Institute's management.

His awards: Bronze Order of Merit (1971, MHE) and Silver Order of Merit (1985, PSZTI).
