    In addition to his university studies, he began working on the problem of chemical structure management at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry of the Budapest University of Technology (BME). After graduating from university, he worked as a freelancer under contract at the Central Research Institute of Chemistry of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, developing a system for searching for chemical partial structures.

    From 1987, he continued his work on the treatment of chemical structures at the Beilstein Institute in Frankfurt. During his work, he developed close ties with the Department of Chemistry at the University of Leeds. In this context, several Hungarian doctoral scholarship holders obtained their doctoral degrees within the Maxwell Institute at the University of Leeds.

    From 1989, he worked for two and a half years at Maxwell Orbit Infoline, an online service for searching chemical partial structures in the United States.

    In 1992, he founded Cardinal Sámítástechnikai Kft. together with Sándor Kozics. Since 2005, he has been managing the company alone. Cardinal Kft. was the first in Hungary to offer banks a system through which their customers could conduct their banking affairs electronically. In the first years, the system was primarily used by corporate customers of banks, but with the advent of the Internet, the service was extended to private customers as well. Today, this system is used by 14 banks and more than 110 savings cooperatives under the names Electra, Spectra, SpectraNet, NetBank, PCBankár, PC Kontakt. The service is used by approx. 100,000 companies and 600,000 private individuals to conduct their banking affairs electronically. A special version of this is used by KELER Zrt. for settlement after securities trading, and by the Hungarian State Treasury for the handling of transfers of state administrative institutions.

    Another business of Cardinal Kft. is document processing, document management. The CRAFT system for document management is also used primarily by banks and insurance companies. Larger financial institutions process thousands of documents efficiently every day with the help of the CRAFT system.
