Béla Mohácsi
After graduating from university, he started working as a research associate at the Central Physical Research Institute (KFKI). At KFKI, he became an associate at the Measurement and Computing Research Institute (MSZKI). In 1988, the department dealing with the development of technical applications was established under his leadership.
He was the managing director of CADserver Ltd., founded in 1991. The company played a decisive role in establishing the domestic computer-aided design (CAD) culture in the period after the COCOM trade embargo.
He became the head of KFKI ISYS Informatikai Kft., founded in the second half of the 1990s. The application integrator company supplied complex, turnkey IT systems to industrial companies and financial institutions (CAD, MRP/ERP, Business Intelligence, data mining tools).
Between 2003 and 2006, he was the Deputy State Secretary responsible for “Information Society Programs” at the Ministry of Informatics and Communications (IHM). Together with his team and cooperating institutions and economic actors, they launched and managed programs such as the Public Network, Sulinet, the “eHungary Points” system, NAVA (National Audiovisual Archive) and NDA (National Digital Archive).
He continued to work in his own consulting firm and supported the start-up of businesses offering IT-based services. After 2010, he worked as an employee of a large domestic company and participated in the general management of priority programs.
