György Matok

In 1971, he was the head of the main group of the Hungarian National Bank (MNB), initiating the mechanization of the MNB's administration. (This was the time when the Budapest current account mechanization took place.)
Later, he became deputy head of the Systems Organization Department.

He was the Deputy Director of Information at the Computer Training Center (Numbers) from the early 1970s.
The Library under his direction began online querying with the Babilon and ISIS systems, based on the scientific work of Péter Jacsó and Katalin Szőnyi.

From 1982, he was the Head of the Information Office of the Computer Applications Research Institute (Számki).

Award: Gold Degree of the Order of Merit for Labor (1978).
