    After graduating from university, he soon became a lecturer at the József Attila University of Szeged (JATE). He has been a candidate of mathematical sciences since 1978. Throughout his career, he performed his work at a high level; he passed on his knowledge to generations of computer scientists.

    In 1987, as an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science, he was appointed head of the University Computing Center. In this position, he gained great recognition. He headed the Computing Center for 18 years until his retirement.

    As the coordinator and professional leader of numerous IT projects, he played a fundamental role in the development of the university's IT infrastructure and the introduction of the unified electronic study system.

    He received the Bolyai János Mathematical Society (BJMT) Memorial Prize for his information storage and retrieval systems and isotope diagnostic software.

    His most important awards include: Gyula Farkas Memorial Award (BJMT, 1977); Kalmár Award (NJSZT, 1979); Academic Award (1981).
