  • After graduating from university, he started working at the Institute of Industrial Economics and Operations Management of the Hungarian Government (IGÜSZI) as a system planner in the department of Ferenc Rabár. In 1964, he transferred to the Information Processing Laboratory of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (Infelor, later Számki), as the head of the Operations Research Department. His most important professional works here: optimization of machine load tasks at a screw industry company, optimization of national wheat and flour deliveries at the Grain Trust, flood protection modeling at the National Water Authority (OVH), simulation modeling for the National Energy Management Authority, preparation of optimal disc cutting plans for the Enamel Works using mathematical methods, etc.

    As a result of the company mergers, the new company was named Számalk (Computer Applications Company), where he was assigned to the Corporate Applications Department, as the head of the System Organization Department. Here, he participated in organizational work at the IKARUSZ factory.

    His areas of interest include: corporate application of operations research, linear programming, shipment optimization, material scheduling optimization. He has written several professional books and notes.

    He participated in the work of the Engineering Further Education Institute (MTI) and the Operations Research Department of the National Institute of Civil Engineering for about 30 years.

    He retired from Számalk in 1994. As a retiree, he worked as a sole proprietor for about 15 years preparing accounting records for sole proprietors, and during that time he was an accountant for the Association of Information Technology Enterprises (IVSZ) for about 2 years.

    Award: Lifetime Achievement Award (NJSZT, 2014).
