    He graduated from JATE as a student of mathematics and physics, where he further developed his thesis topic and received his doctorate in theoretical physics in 1966. His doctoral topic was the construction of the eigenfunctions of the S-squared operator using the spin operator method.

    From 1963, he taught at the Bolyai János High School in Budapest for three years, and then for two years he was an assistant professor at the Department of Instrumentation and Process Control at the Higher Food Industry Technical School.

    Between 1968 and 1979, he worked as a research associate at the Institute of Industrial Economics and Plant Management of the Ministry of Heavy Industry (NIM IGÜSZI) as a software developer. From its establishment in 1969 until 1982, he worked in the Hungarian working committee of the Unified Program Documentation System (EPDR) of the Unified Computer System (ESZR).
    He was head of the Programming Department from 1973. The department primarily developed data processing computer systems. They received the National Award in 1977 for the development of the DOS version of the MM system.

    Between 1979 and 1980, as head of the programming department at the Chemical Industry Computer Development Association (VSZFT), he supervised the creation of an integrated Corporate Information System (CIS) for the associated chemical companies.

    From 1980 to 1983, he was a programming manager at Finomkerámia Ipari Művek (FIM), and then between 1983 and 1986, he worked as an organizational and IT consultant at the Computer Systems Sales Joint Stock Company (SZÁMREND).

    From 1986, as the Chief Computer Officer of the Hungarian Airline Company (MALÉV), his task was to solve all (branch-level) computer problems, tasks and needs arising in the Supply and Foreign Trade Department, as well as to implement and manage the solution.

    After his retirement, he taught computer science in the (afternoon) theoretical and practical education organized for high school students by the RENDSZÁM Organization and Education Board. Within this framework, he taught the entire subject matter required for the "state secondary and higher computer science professional qualification" (OKJ programmer).

    He has been a member of the NJSZT since 1970. In 1989, he was added to the NJSZT software expert and application expert lists.

    In 2009, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Sciences and Humanities in recognition of his computer science education and pedagogical activities.

    • He has been playing music since he was young. During his university years, he played saxophone in a jazz band, and in his later years, he was the principal violinist of a string quartet. In the 1960s, he was commissioned by the Institute of Musicology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences to retrieve and analyze folk music materials.
