    After graduating from university, in 1968, he began working on the Ural-2 computer at the University Computer Center. Between 1974 and 1976, he taught the subjects Systems Programming and Operating Systems to the students of the ELTE Department of Programming Mathematics.

    Between 1976 and 1979, with several interruptions, he worked at Philips in the organization, design, and programming of various corporate information systems.

    In 1979, he supervised the commissioning of the University Computer Center's central (R40) computer, and then became the head of the Systems Development Department in 1980. At the same time, he continued to participate in the training of programming mathematicians at ELTE until 1985.

    From 1985, he worked as the head of the education department at the Computer Applications Company (Számalk).

    From 1986, the newly formed computer technology department of Hungarian Television was organized by starting the PC-based registration of the program material of the videotape archive.

    From 1987, he was a department head at the Financial Computing Institute (PSZTI), and after its reorganization at the Computing and Tax Accounting Institute (SZTADI); his task was to manage the software development of various banking systems. In 1993, SZTADI became part of the Tax and Financial Audit Office (APEH), as its IT base. Until 2002, as a department head, he managed the operation of APEH's IT systems, the planning and organization of investment and asset development tasks.

    Until his retirement in 2013, he was primarily responsible for Internet/Intranet-related tasks as an advisor to the President of APEH and later the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV). During this time, the APEH/NAV internet interface was developed, which became one of the most visited public administration websites due to the wide range of current tax information and downloadable tax return programs.

    • He completed his secondary school studies in 1963 at the KLTE Gyakorló Gymnasium in Debrecen; in 1960 and 1961 he achieved second and first place, respectively, in the national mathematics competition for high school students.
    • His hobby is computer chess, which he started at the University Computer Center; it was here that he wrote his first chess puzzle solving programs for the TPA-70 and TPA-1140 computers manufactured by KFKI. In 2020-2021 (during the lockdown due to the COVID pandemic), he is developing his TCP/IP-based chess program.
