    Between 1964 and 1969, he was a high school and elementary school teacher. Between 1969 and 1973, he was a machine operator at the Electronic Data Processing Department of the Ferroglobus company; he became acquainted with computer technology in its punch card machine park. Between 1973 and 1977, he was an international administrator at the Infelor and then the National Computer Office (OSZI) of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office, where he participated in the work of the Unified Computer System (ESZR), gaining a broad perspective and many acquaintances through his knowledge of Russian. During these works, he actively participated in the development of Hungarian computer terminology. After that, he was a technical advisor to the University Computer Center for two years.

    Between 1979 and 1981, he was a technical and economic consultant to the National Computer Company (NOTO OSZV). Between 1981 and 1986, he held various middle management positions at Számalk. Between 1986 and 1990, he was the head of Számalk Publishing House, and then between 1991 and 1995, he was the managing director of Múzsák Könyvkiadó.

    In 1996, he founded SZAK Publishing, which produces and distributes computer science books, and which has gained considerable professional authority over time. The translation of current Microsoft publications has significantly contributed to the development of computer translation technology, contributing to the creation of the Memoq translation memory used in many countries around the world.

    Since 1998, he has been teaching IT-related subjects as an external lecturer at the Institute of Library and Information Science of the Faculty of Humanities of ELTE, where he has been an honorary associate professor since 2005. In 2008, he earned a PhD degree in applied linguistics from the University of Pannonia (PE).

    • Outstanding examples of his publishing activities are Dezső Sima's seminal work Computer Architectures; Balázs Kis's Microsoft series (Beginner's Book, Advanced Book); and the Alkinfo series created at the Department of Applied Informatics of BME (series editor: Charaf Hassan).
