  • He started working at Gamma Fine Mechanics and Optics Works as an electronic measurement technician in 1961, while continuing his studies and obtaining a qualification as an industrial engineer in 1963 at the Kandó Kálmán Technical School of Information and Communication Technology, specializing in automation. He obtained his applied mathematics degree in January 1971 at the evening department of the Faculty of Natural Sciences (TTK) of ELTE (the title of his diploma work: Duality theorems of geometric programming).

    From 1963 he was a technical administrator at the Heavy Chemical Industry Research Institute (NEVIKI).
    From 1966, he prepared instrument and automation plans in the control engineering department of Olajterv. His superiors saw his excellent technical sense for technical design and entrusted him with independent projects. However, from the mid-1970s, he was much more attracted to the fields of information technology and communications.

    In 1974, he participated as a scientific associate at the Videoton Development Institute (VIFI) in the preparation of process control system plans; from the same year, he worked in an IT position at the Central Statistical Office, and then edited professional books at Számalk Publishing House.

    He was able to put his organizational and networking skills, creative thinking, extensive technical knowledge, and genre versatility to lasting use in his editorial work for IT journals. He participated in the editing of Mikroszámítógép Magazin, founded by Győző Kovács, from the journal's inception in 1983. He started as the head of the Human-Machine Relationship column, then (with a 2-year hiatus) became the reading editor from 1988. Following the transformation of the Hungarian computer science journal with the largest circulation (1990: Alaplap, 1994: Új Alaplap), he worked as an editor, owner of several columns, and as a frequent compiler and editor of the "Topic of the Month" column until the magazine's closure in 2002.

    She has been a member of scientific associations since 1965 (Bolyai János Mathematical Society, NJSZT, Mechanical Engineering Scientific Association); in the latter she performed a significant social function. Her registered writer's name at the National Association of Hungarian Journalists was Ágnes Sóskúti.
