József Gacsal
At the beginning of his commercial career, he was the marketing manager of the software business and e-business program at IBM Hungary Ltd. between 1998 and 2000. Before that, he started as the business development manager of the newly formed Hungarian IBM Software Group reseller channel at the long-established company. Here he completed the training of the Chartered Institute of Marketing of London in 1999.
Between 2000 and 2003, he worked as a marketing manager for data center and server products at Microsoft's Hungarian subsidiary, focusing on transforming small and medium-sized enterprise infrastructures.
Between 2003 and 2015, he worked as the Corporate Business Development Director of Intel Hungary, launching and implementing several large IT projects. These included the launch of the digitalization of public education, the conversion of telecommunications companies' infrastructure to general-purpose computing devices, the infrastructure change of financial institutions, and the domestic spread of mobile internet.
Between 2015 and 2017, he managed Fujitsu Technology Solutions' Hungarian operations as Managing Director. During this period, the company participated, among other things, in the development of the government cloud, or KAK2.
Between 2007 and 2017, he was a member of the board of the Association of Information Technology Enterprises (IVSZ), and on several occasions its vice-chairman. He also played a leading role in the creation of the National Electronics Roundtable (NEK) and the National Electronics Strategy.
Between November 2018 and May 2019, he was the Vice President of the National Security Agency responsible for IT security.
