  • Mining Engineer - NME - 1982.

  • After graduating from the University of Miskolc, he worked at the Hungarian State Geological Institute (MÁFI) between 1982 and 1990 as a geologist and IT specialist.
    From 1990 to 2000, he was a reference librarian at the Central Library of the University of Miskolc (ME). Here he became acquainted with computer networks, and from then on he wrote and translated books and articles dealing with the Internet world, edited a newsletter and a series of publications, and taught courses and university/college courses.

    In 1994, he founded the Hungarian Electronic Library (MEK) together with István Moldován and Károly Kokas. Since 2001, he has been further developing this project and other digital library content services at the National Széchényi Library (OSZK).
    Since 1999, he has been a member of the board of the MEK Association.

    Professional awards: Kalmár Award (NJSZT, 2000), eFestival Lifetime Achievement Award (Hungarian Content Industry Association, 2008), Hungarnet Award (Hungarian Content Industry Association, 2011).
