Laszlo Drajko
During his university studies, he worked as a network software engineer in the Computer Networks Department of the Central Physical Research Institute (KFKI). After his professional foundation, he quickly found a place in the business side of IT, where he was given international and domestic leadership roles at a young age at the leading global companies of the 1990s and 2000s. His area of expertise became the planning and implementation of the market launch of continuously renewed and developing technological products and services.
After graduating, he began his international work directly at the Düsseldorf headquarters of Novell Inc., first as an engineer. In 1994, he was asked to head the then-starting Novell Hungary.
From 1996, he was the managing director of Compaq Hungary, and then as CEO of Compaq MDG in Munich, he oversaw the business in 14 Eastern European countries.
In 2000, he took over the internet business of the Matáv Group as CEO. Under his leadership - under the name Axelero Internet Rt. - Matávnet, Origo and numerous other initiatives are integrated into the first large domestic broadband internet company.
He was subsequently responsible for Graphisoft's international business for two periods; from 2004 to 2007 he was the Director of Global Sales. From 2012 to 2016 he was the Vice President of Graphisoft's North and South America subsidiary (Los Angeles, USA).
In the interim period (2007–2012), he was the number one leader of Microsoft Hungary, in the capacity of Managing Director.
Since 2016, he has been supporting the work of domestic startups, having separated from the corporate world - as a technology investor and international market builder.
- During his management career, in 2007/2008 he participated in the Microsoft-sponsored MBA program at INSEAD (Paris and Fontainebleau, France) in the “Executive Leadership & Business Management” training program.
- Pro-bono mentoring is a notable activity for technology start-ups.
