    He is an emeritus professor at the Faculty of Economics (KTK) of the University of Pécs (PTE). He participated in the creation and development of domestic university IT training courses. He received his doctorate from the Marx Károly University of Economics (MKKE) in 1974 (Transportation simulation procedures), he was a candidate at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 1989 (IT solutions to transport organization problems), and then he habilitated at the PTE in the subject of information management. He taught and researched for semesters in the USA with Soros and Fulbright scholarships and invitations in 1990, 2004 and 2007.

    He was the Vice-Rector of the University of Pécs from 1990 to 1994, the Dean of the Faculty of Law from 2002 to 2005, one of the organizers of the Bologna Process; he carried out training development work at many universities in Europe, the USA and Canada.

    He participated in the development of the Higher Education Vocational Training Act, the educational development work of the PHARE (Poland and Hungary: Assistance for the Reconstruction of their Economies) program, the establishment of the TEMPUS program, numerous national accreditation planning projects, and the development of the new BSc and MSc level economics and IT programs. For years, he was a member of the Hungarian Higher Education Accreditation Committee (MAB) and a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences' Committee on Economics.

    In addition to corporate projects, he has published on applied IT topics, and as a board member he organized the annual conferences of the Economic Informatics Research and Education Forum (GIKOF) and the publication of the GIKOF Journal. He was a guest lecturer in Kaposvár, Győr, at the Faculty of Informatics (IK) of ELTE, and gave conference lectures in several European countries. Since 2015, he has been teaching as an emeritus professor in Hungarian and English in the areas of corporate information management, eBusiness, ICT innovation and entrepreneurship at MSc and PhD levels, and he reviews MSc and PhD theses at PTE, Corvinus University of Budapest (BCE), the Faculty of Informatics of ELTE, Kaposvár, Győr and Dunaújváros.

    He was the president of the Baranya county organization of the NJSZT, and then the professional vice president of the NJSZT between 2012-2015. He is a founding member of the county organization of the IveTár Information Technology Managers' Association.

    Awards: “For Excellent Work” (Ministry of Culture and Public Education, 1983; Scientific and Higher Education Award (Baranya County Municipality, 2000); Middle Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary (2005); Pro Facultate Award (BCE Faculty of Economics, 2017); Neumann Award (NJSZT, 2018).
