  • After graduating from university, he taught high school for eight years: at the Bánki Donát Mechanical Engineering Technical School, and then at the Bláthy Ottó Technical School from 1955 to 1962. He first encountered a computer in 1959, with the M3 machine set up at the MTA Cybernetics Research Group (KKCS).

    Its first computer application was implemented in 1962 on the ELLIOTT 803 machine of the Ferrous Metallurgy Directorate of the Ministry of Metallurgy and Mechanical Industry (KGM).
    In 1965, he participated in the establishment of the Infelor company at the Central Statistical Office. He helped his colleagues in the application of the MINSZK 22 machine operating there by making the machine more human-friendly. In the meantime, he became involved in the development project of the EMG computer; then in solving the problems that arose with the purchase of the VIDEOTON license. He designed the VIDOS operating system of the VT 1010 machine; he largely supervised its implementation. In 1971, the FUJITSU company approached Infelor to create a small computer software. He designed the desired software and supervised its implementation.

    In the meantime, and throughout his career, he also carried out a wide range of computer science teaching activities, for example at the Engineering Further Education Institute and the Berzsenyi Gymnasium. He launched a two-year programming course at the Central Statistical Office, which also awarded a diploma. At the József Attila University of Szeged (JATE) from 1965 he assisted László Kalmár in the education of programming mathematicians; between 1974-1978 he taught at the University as a full-time teacher.

    His works and lectures were accompanied by notes, and a textbook was also prepared for his teaching.
    He is a recognized expert on the basic software of early computers. His passion is computer science education.

    He is one of the domestic pioneers of computer application development and education.
