Mihály Bohus
After graduating from university, he became a research associate at József Attila University (JATE). He first worked on computer communications (formal specification of protocols, development work on networks). Together with his colleagues, he developed the JATE 55 terminal remote data processing system. From his research activities in this area, he prepared his doctoral dissertation entitled Simulation Investigation of Computer Network Protocols, which he defended in 1984. Later, he played a significant role in the creation and operation of the domestically developed X.25 national data network.
In 1986, he spent 4 months in Paris as a visiting researcher, where he worked on protocol specification tasks.
Since 1990, he has been an assistant professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Informatics (TTIK) of the University of Szeged (SZTE), the legal successor of JATE, and has been the lead lecturer of the subject Computer Networks. Since 2001, he has led the Cisco Laboratory, where you can gain experience in the details of network construction practices. His subjects taught include: Machine Room Laboratory, PL/1 programming, Operating systems, Assembly programming, Architectures, Corporate information systems. Among the recognitions for his teaching work, he is most proud of the Aranykréta award he received from students.
