  • Due to his disadvantaged social situation, he was forced to do 3 years of military service after graduating from high school, and then was hired as an assistant worker at the vehicle repair department of the Pécs Freight Forwarding National Company (TEFU NV). Here, he quickly distinguished himself with his excellent technical sense and manual dexterity, so he was able to obtain a car mechanic qualification and a category C driver's license, and was even promoted to foreman in time. With his license, he worked as a transporter for several years, as a truck driver.

    In 1963, he was admitted to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Budapest University of Technology (BME). He then moved to Budapest, and in 1964, he was admitted to the Computing Center of the Industrial Economics and Plant Organization Institute (IGÜSZI) of the Ministry of Heavy Industry (NIM) as a technical maintenance worker, a significantly more favorable position than his previous ones. Here, he first of all fixed the air conditioning of the machine room; then he organized the installation and continuous operation of the Graphomat drawing machine. He worked at the Institute even after the Computing Center was later relocated, gaining a serious professional reputation.

    From 1973 until his death, he was employed by the State Administration Computer Service (ÁSZSZ), where he was an active participant in the design and mechanical equipment of the new computer center; then he received six months of training in France. After the computer center began operating properly, he worked as the head of the Operations Department.
