Andrea Bencsik
He defended his doctoral dissertation in 1986 and his candidate dissertation in 1993. He obtained his PhD degree in 2002. He became a habilitated professor in 2008 and was appointed as a university professor at the University of Budapest in 2011.
After graduating from university, he taught for 23 years at the University of Veszprém (VE), then from 2006 at the Széchenyi István University (SZE) in Győr. Head of department, then from 2015 dean of the Zalaegerszeg faculty of the Budapest College of Economics (BGF). Later, he became a professor at SZE again. In parallel work, he taught for 10 years at the Kodolányi János College and for 4 years at the Gábor Dénes College (GDF). Since 2006, he has also been a professor at the Selye János University in Slovakia, the custodian of economic education.
Since 2006, he has been a core member of the Doctoral School of Regional and Economic Sciences of SZE; later, he was a teacher and supervisor of the English-language SzEEDSM (Doctoral Program in Management of Széchenyi University). He has graduated 11 PhD students in domestic and foreign doctoral schools, and another 6 domestic and 4 foreign students work under his supervision.
His teaching and research areas include knowledge management, human resource management, change management, project management, information systems organization, decision support systems, network design. He has published more than 500 scientific publications, books, and textbooks. He is a regular speaker at international conferences.
Founder and head of several training programs. Participant and professional leader of domestic and international projects (e.g. establishment of a departmental IT and ergonomics lab, procurement and service of IT equipment for research and development purposes, innovation project manager training, creation of an integrated knowledge management and product development system, etc.). Editorial board member of several domestic and international professional organizations and journals; corporate expert, trainer.
Her most important awards: Ministerial Commendation (Ministry of Education, 1989); Pro Universitate Vesprimiensi Silver Medal (VE, 2004); Educator of the Year (J. Selye University, 2010); Scientific Lifetime Achievement Award (Sándor Wekerle Scientific Foundation, 2014); Best Female Speaker at the International Quality Conference (2018).
- He filed his “Optimal Resource Allocation” patent in Hungary in 2001.
