Mrs. András Békéssy (born: Éva Görög)
After graduating from university, he worked at the National Meteorological Institute. Here, in the Climate Research Department, his duties included compiling weather and climate data for interested parties. In the book Weather in the Home of Researchers, published in 1955, he wrote a chapter about his own work, "In the Service of the Public...".
From 1962, he continued his career as a programmer for the Bull Gamma ET computer, which was put into operation at the Data Processing Directorate (MÁVAF) of MÁV (Hungarian State Railways). This made him one of the first programmers in the country. In addition to the continuous renewal of the devices (Honeywell from 1969, ROBOTRON 40 from 1978, then VIDEOTON R10, Danish RC 3600) and the development of software systems, he worked there continuously until his retirement in 1980.
